Animal Adventures in Sculpture with Hanna Traynham Camp Description This course will focus on sculptural artworks inspired by symbolism and ancient mythology of animals. Get your imagination churning and your hands dirty with painting, papier-mâché, clay, and other materials! We will make zoomorphic masks, piñatas, figurines, clay boxes, and much more! Use your favorite animals as creative inspiration and discover new fascinating animals to love across the globe and in your own backyard. About the Instructor Hanna has been teaching ceramics for almost 20 years and loves every moment. She earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts from James Madison University, Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Portland State University, and Masters of Fine Arts from East Tennessee State University. Hanna currently leads the Ceramics and Sculpture program at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia. She enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds, encouraging each person to grow creatively! A few important specifics Age: Your child's age must fall within the age range specified for the workshop before it begins. If your child is within a month of the cutoff date and you feel they would be able to fit in with the group, you may email [email protected] to request special consideration. Medical Information: If your child has accessibility needs, allergies, food sensitivities, etc. you must indicate this in the “Medical Information” section and also speak to the instructor at the beginning of the camp. Cancellation Policy: If you cancel anytime up to 6 weeks before the beginning of a camp or workshop, you will receive a refund minus the $25 nonrefundable processing fee. If you cancel less than 6 weeks before the beginning of a camp or workshop, refunds are not available.
