Camp Description

Join us for a week of multimedia explorations! Campers will learn new techniques with printmaking, drawing, painting, and clay. Our creations will showcase stories, imaginary creatures, original inventions, and joyful celebrations of art in our camp community!

About the Instructor

Anna Early enjoys guiding children of all ages to explore their inner-artist and create! She has taught at Penland's Kids Camp for many years and holds a Montessori Teaching Certificate. Anna enjoys teaching and making pottery, and also works as a teaching artist in Mitchell and Yancey county schools.

A few important specifics

• Age: Your child's age must fall within the age range specified for the workshop before it begins. If your child is within a month of the cutoff date and you feel they would be able to fit in with the group, you may email [email protected] to request special consideration.

• Medical Information: If your child has accessibility needs, allergies, food sensitivities, etc. you must indicate this in the “Medical Information” section and also speak to the instructor at the beginning of the camp.

• Toileting: Children must be toileting independently in order to attend kids camp. We do not accompany children into the restroom and we are not equipped to handle accidents. 

• Cancellation Policy: If you cancel anytime up to 6 weeks before the beginning of a camp or workshop, you will receive a refund minus the $25 nonrefundable processing fee. If you cancel less than 6 weeks before the beginning of a camp or workshop, refunds are not available.
