Everyday Textiles with Edwina Bringle Camp Description Join Edwina Bringle for a week of sampling textiles techniques! Projects in this camp will include weaving, making coiled baskets, and incorporating findings from nature into our artwork as we follow the group's interests from day to day. Through these processes, students will also learn methods for making textile artwork at home with recycled and ordinary materials. About the Instructor Edwina Bringle is a textile artist based in Penland, NC. In addition to instructing at Penland, she has also taught at The Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts and The John C. Campbell Folk School, and her work is featured in the collections of The North Carolina Museum of History, Greenville Museum of Art, Gregg Museum of Art, The Mint Museum of Art, The Smithsonian, and in numerous private collections. A few important specifics Age: Your child's age must fall within the age range specified for the workshop before it begins. If your child is within a month of the cutoff date and you feel they would be able to fit in with the group, you may email [email protected] to request special consideration. Medical Information: If your child has accessibility needs, allergies, food sensitivities, etc. you must indicate this in the “Medical Information” section and also speak to the instructor at the beginning of the camp. Cancellation Policy: If you cancel anytime up to 6 weeks before the beginning of a camp or workshop, you will receive a refund minus the $25 nonrefundable processing fee. If you cancel less than 6 weeks before the beginning of a camp or workshop, refunds are not available.
