In this camp, students will create personal artwork using acrylic based mixed media materials by learning from the example of great historic and contemporary painters. Each day will begin with an exploration of paintings from some of today’s and yesteryear’s best artists to inspire the making of our own reproductions, illustrations, and abstract art. By using multiple approaches to acrylic paint inspired by these artists, campers will learn how to take one medium and transform it into a variety of results! Register

A Small Wooden Box For You

Projects in this camp will include weaving, making coiled baskets, and incorporating findings from nature into our artwork as we follow the group's interests from day to day. Wheel Throwing

This class will cover the basics from foundational knowledge of ceramics to more technical methods of working on the wheel. We will begin with fundamental centering skills and work our way up to larger and taller forms that could become pitchers or even sculptural vessels! We will develop interesting surfaces through slip trailing, carving, sgraffito, and bright glazes. To conclude our camp, we will build and fire artworks in a traditional style pit firing. Register
